Located in the Southwestern Texas Panhandle on the New Mexico line, this 30,000-head facility has access to large numbers of yearling cattle and calves in nearby New Mexico. Farwell's close proximity to large areas of grazing allows for minimum freight cost and for frequent pasture inspections. Like other AzTx feed yards, Farwell also draws feeder cattle from the Texas Panhandle, South Texas, Oklahoma, Southeastern states and other major cattle producing areas.
